Praecipue adhibentur ad circuitum electricum in longa distantia faciendum/dissolvendum et ad frequentem initium/sistendum, et cum rele thermico ad initiatorem motoris magnetici componendum. Productum normae IEC60947-4-1 respondet.
Contactor est mechanismus motus recti cum contactibus dupliciter interruptis. Contactus auxiliares cum numero 2 (NO) et numero 2 (NC) ad summum disponuntur; nexus flexibilis et claudens inter sustentaculum contactus et nucleum adhibetur. Tres in contactore Ie≤22A cum laminis arcu-isolatis sunt, sed in contactoribus In≥32A, tres ex laminis arcu-isolatis formantur, quia omnes contactus ex mixtura argenti altae infusibilitatis et corrosioni resistentis facti sunt. Omnes producta seriei cochleis, contactores Ie≤32A etiam per ferream institutionis, figi possunt.
